About animal rights and veganism

Like us, other animals are sentient. To be sentient is to have feelings and to have an experience of one's own life. Nonhuman animals value their lives, try to protect themselves and their families from harm, and don't want to be killed. Because they are sentient, they are not objects or resources for our use. In order to respect them, we need to stop exploiting and killing them. In other words, we need to be vegan.
